This live version of “Beshalom” keeps the same broad Masa ensemble heard in the group’s other Exodus recording, but here the focus is on an original song credited to Yoav Fekete, Gili Sharabi, and Tomer Yehieli. The release matters not only as a single performance but as evidence of Masa’s recurring collaborative core.
Piano, percussion, kora, bass, drums, saxophone, and supporting vocals all broaden the arrangement without dissolving the song’s center. The result is both band document and song document at once.
